Renew your New Zealand passport
1. What you need

2. Referee
Your identity referee needs to have held a NZ passport , have known you for at least a year, and be over 16.
Not related to you or living with you.
You need passport number and expiry date, full name, date of birth, and phone number.
3. Apply online
Go to www.passports.govt.nz. Your last passport has the information you’ll need to start your application.
4. Save and upload your photo.
Upload the photo as part of your application.
5. Pay online and submit your application
NZ Passports will send you an email as soon as your passport has been completed.

You’ll need to visit www.realme.govt.nz to set up a RealMe identity if you don’t already have one.
