I come from an arts background (painting /jewellery) studying and then going on to teach jewellery at Hungry Creek art school. But then by some happy accident I found my way to photography about 4 years ago and have completely fallen in love with it. i look at it like the camera and lens is a net to catch not just the moment and what is seen, but also the beauty and feeling of it.
My approach to photography is much the same as i applied to all my other art, experimental, non traditional, always with the thought that if you don’t know you cant do something sometimes you can and that experimenting and the knowledge you gain from that is the most valuable.
my especial love is vintage and unusual lenses, some of which i have modified myself.
i mostly shoot for myself and my own enjoyment but it pleases me no end that others find pleasure in my images.
